Alamo, Texas, located in the Rio Grade Valleyan area nicknamed the “Land of Two Summers”, is a town known as “The Refuge to the Valley” located in the irrigated area of southern Hidalgo County, Texas. It has a population of 18,353 as of the 2010 census.
As the Rio Grande Valley area continues to grow the Alamo Chamber and the city of Alamo, Texas are in a great position to locate new industries and is ideal for tourism and winter visitors better know as “Winter Texans”. It is close to major shopping areas, including Mexico. For the nature enthusist it is situated near the popular Santa Ana Nature Refuge.
